The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) elections in Nyandarua County have been rescheduled to Saturday, following a tie in the election results for the chairmanship and executive secretary positions.
The elections, which were initially held at the Ol-Kalou NG-CDF Hall, saw two candidates, Reuben Kaai from Ndaragwa Sub County and his rival Joseph Thootho, each garnering 10 votes for the chairmanship role. Similarly, Waweru Ragui from Ol-Kalou and Charles Kabiru from Kipipiri were in a deadlock, each securing 11 votes for the Executive Secretary position.
Unopposed Positions
There were uncontested victories in other roles, with Samwel Mwaura from Murungaru (Kinangop Constituency) being elected unopposed as the Youth Representative. Similarly, Ruth Wanjiru from Ol-Kalou won the Women Representative position without opposition.
Disqualification
One delegate was disqualified from participating in the elections for failing to present their National Identity Card, which was a requirement for eligibility.
The FKF Elections Board has now postponed the elections to allow for a rerun of the contested positions this Saturday.
